GENERAL OVERVIEW

PCW is a Catholic secondary school for girls. It was established in 1873 by the Presentation Sisters. With more than 60 nationalities represented, PCW offers a rich, culturally diverse environment where the pursuit for academic excellence is grounded in Christian values. In order to maximise student learning we focus on knowing and caring for our students. The wellbeing of all students is a partnership between the staff, students and parents which underpins the academic, social and spiritual dimensions of the entire college community.

LOCATION

Located in the lively inner south of Melbourne, PCW is on major transport routes which provides easy access to the centre of the city, Melbourne's major cultural centres and the bay and beach.

DISTINCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS

As one of Melbourne’s oldest schools, PCW is proud of its long heritage providing quality education for girls. We have inherited from the first Presentation Sisters a sense of adventure which creates an openness to teaching and learning. We believe that education leads to life and look to provide opportunities for students to develop to their full potential.

BOARDING FACILITIES

Adjacent to the school is 'Nagle House' our boarder’s residence. It is a home style facility that offers boarders that sense of family and belonging. The residence has full computer and internet access, with school intranet available. Meals are cooked and provided on site. Modern bathroom facilities and shared bedrooms.
