Immanuel Lutheran College, established in 1979, is the oldest independent school on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The College prides themselves on overt Christian values, ensuring that each student is cared for as a significant individual. Diverse curriculum and co-curricular opportunities ensure that students flourish, with multiple pathways towards success, in and out of the classroom.
Along the way, Immanuel has built a rich heritage of spiritual and social values, sporting prowess, cultural excellence, and academic achievement. Since the first year 12 class in 1986, the majority of Immanuel graduates have consistently embraced tertiary and further education, with alumni now featured in a global landscape.
Distinctive Characteristics
The idyllic campus, with views of the ocean, is nestled amongst pristine rainforest. From the moment you enter the College along the university-style promenade, through to lessons and activities in wonderful facilities, students are enveloped in an environment where one’s potential can be realised. In our opinion… in the ideal environment, learning comes naturally. The College is widely recognised for its extensive outdoor education program, including a 30-day experience for Year 10 students at our own outdoor education campus, Mt Binga, its community service and events program and its innovative application of ICT across curriculum.
Tertiary Pathways
Immanuel Lutheran College has an excellent record in students gaining tertiary entrance offers. Students are often invited into universities and courses offered at all major Queensland and interstate universities. The College enjoys an excellent relationship with the University of the Sunshine Coast. Through the ‘Headstart’ program, students are able to study a vast range of university subjects whilst at Immanuel, potentially qualifying for guaranteed university entrance at the completion of Year 12.
