The English for High School Preparation Program prepares students for entry into Australian High Schools, including our quality partner schools in Brisbane.
The course consists of four levels:
Elementary
Pre- intermediate
Intermediate
Advanced.
Each level is up to 10 weeks duration. Students may be required to do 10-40 weeks of English language study before they can proceed to high school.
This course is suitable for high-school age students interested in enrolling in high schools in Australia.
Applications are assessed on the basis of your academic performance in the last two years of your school. Offers are usually made to students who have achieved pass or higher grades in subjects that they wish to study in school in Australia. It is expected that students have studied English with a pass grade or above for at least two years or more in their home country.
The curriculum in the first level (Elementary) is mostly General English.
The second level (Pre-intermediate) is General English with some components of High School being gradually introduced.
The fourth and fifth levels (Intermediate and Advanced) strongly focus on High School Preparation in terms of formulated objectives and academic content which becomes dual centred: research and study skills and the four macro skills (Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing)
